Haberdashers' Scholarship

Each year, the Haberdashers' Company offers a number of scholarships to deserving Year 13 students across the Haberdashers family of schools. These scholarships provide financial support throughout a student's university studies, helping to reduce barriers to higher education and rewarding ambition, commitment and potential. In addition to the annual grant, scholars may be matched with a Haberdasher Mentor who can offer professional advice, career guidance and encouragement as they progress through university and prepare for the world of work. As part of the Haberdashers' Advantage, these scholarships reflect our commitment to supporting students long after they leave school and helping them achieve success in their chosen futures.

Haberdashers' Apprentices 

Becoming a Haberdashers’ Apprentice is a prestigious opportunity awarded to a small number of exceptional young people who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, service, and commitment throughout their time at school. Apprentices are selected for their contribution to their school community, their genuine engagement with the Haberdashers’ Company, and their willingness to give back to others in the future. The apprenticeship provides a unique connection to the Haberdashers’ Company, offering mentorship, networking opportunities, and the chance to contribute to the fellowship and traditions of one of the City of London’s historic livery companies.

Queen Elizabeth II Citizenship Award

The Haberdashers’ Company Queen Elizabeth II Citizenship Award recognises Year 13 students who embody the values demonstrated throughout the life and service of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Rather than celebrating academic, sporting, or artistic achievement, the award honours those whose kindness, tolerance, integrity, loyalty, respect, and selfless service have made a positive difference to others. It celebrates students whose contributions often go unnoticed but who consistently demonstrate outstanding character and citizenship within their school, community, or charitable work. Alongside a certificate, recipients receive a personal award and the opportunity to support a charity of their choice, reflecting the spirit of service that the award seeks to promote.

The Livery Academy Awards

The Livery Academy Awards is a prestigious enterprise and entrepreneurship competition for Sixth Form students, run in partnership with the City of London Livery Companies. Designed to develop business, leadership and presentation skills, the programme challenges students to create and pitch innovative business ideas to a panel of industry professionals and business leaders. 

Each year, teams of Sixth Form students are given a business brief and work together to develop a commercially viable product or service. Throughout the process, students receive invaluable expertise and mentoring from professionals working in sectors such as finance, marketing, advertising and the creative industries. 

The competition culminates in a series of heats hosted at Haberdashers’ Hall, where students present their ideas in a Dragons’ Den-style format. The winning Haberdashers’ team progresses to the Grand Final at Mansion House, competing against schools affiliated with other Livery Companies from across London and beyond.

Leadership & Futures Careers Dinner & Conference 

Through the Haberdashers’ Advantage programme, our Sixth Form students benefit from a range of exclusive careers, leadership and mentoring opportunities designed to broaden their horizons and prepare them for life beyond school. Students have the opportunity to attend prestigious dinners and conferences at Haberdashers’ Hall, where they engage with professionals from a wide range of industries, develop valuable networking and employability skills, and gain first-hand insight into different career pathways. Leadership events bring together students from across the Haberdashers’ family of schools, helping them to build confidence, develop their leadership potential and form lasting connections with peers. These experiences are further enhanced through initiatives such as Habs Aspire, which connects students with mentors from the Haberdashers’ professional network, providing guidance, inspiration and real-world insight as they plan their next steps. Together, these opportunities help our students become ambitious, confident and well-prepared for their future careers and aspirations. 

Sixth Form Bursaries

The 16-19 Bursary Fund provides financial support to eligible Sixth Form students who may face barriers to continuing their education because of financial hardship. The fund can help with essential costs such as transport, meals, books, equipment, educational visits and activities that enhance learning and support progression to further and higher education. There are two types of bursary available: a Vulnerable Student Bursary for students in specific circumstances defined by the Department for Education, and a Discretionary Bursary for students whose household circumstances indicate a need for additional financial support. Our aim is to ensure that every student can access the opportunities available in Sixth Form and achieve their full potential, regardless of their financial circumstances.
