Haberdashers’ Crayford Academy class of 2022 set new school record

The number of students achieving the top grades was significantly higher than in previous years. The percentage of students achieving A*-B at A-level rose by 11%, the average grade for applied subjects was a Distinction. We are extremely proud of the work both the students put in to achieve these results. Despite the challenges of school disruptions during the last two years students have performed brilliantly and secured some very impressive destinations including a large number of Russell Group Universities.

In terms of individual success, the highest achievers were Sara and Lilly who both managed 2 A’s and 2 B’s and are going to study Finance, Investment and Risk at The London Institute of Banking & Finance and History at University of York respectively; Jarred who did fantastically well with a Distinction*, an A and a C grade and has secured employment; Ella-Mae excelled in Art gaining an A*, plus an A, a B and a D in her other subjects, she will be heading off to University of Reading to study Psychology with Professional Placement, and Girvun who achieved 2 C’s and a D and is going on to University of Kent to study Astronomy, Space Science and Astrophysics. There were many more success stories and we are confident that all of our students move on well-equipped for the next stage in their lives.

Executive Headteacher Steve Wheatley said:

We are so proud of the students and are confident that these qualifications, alongside the skills they have developed as part of our wider offer, provide these young people with the platform to be highly successful in the future. Our sixth form continues to go from strength to and we look forward to the continued growth and welcoming more students to the school to share in our future success.
