Crayford Academy donate to Oxleas NHS Trust

In response to a request from Bexley Council's Clinical and Quality Improvement Lead, Janice Elgar (pictured), Crayford Academy were able to donate around 230 goggles and 100 disposable gloves. Janice wrote to the school saying:

" I’m sure you are aware that there is a national shortage of eye protection. I am trying to provide assurance to care agencies and residential care homes that are now experiencing looking after people with covid-19. A lot of the equipment is going straight to the acute hospitals, but we are  support discharge home or look after people if they do not need hospital care. As you can imagine this is getting difficult, and our vulnerable Bexley residents are at even more risk as carers don’t want to risk getting it themselves"

The donation, collected today, is only a small gesture but Crayford Academy are so happy to be helping the national effort in some way in order to donate PPE so that the areas that need them are fully protected.
