Belonging Festival
Our Belonging Festival on 3 July 2026 was a fantastic celebration of everything that makes Haberdashers' Crayford Academy such a special place. The day was filled with exciting activities, opportunities to work together and moments that strengthened our sense of belonging across the academy.
Students embraced a wide range of experiences throughout the day. The excitement of Sports Day brought out determination, teamwork and resilience, while the Primary Games gave our pupils the opportunity to develop their skills, support one another and enjoy friendly competition.
Creativity was on full display as pupils designed and crafted incredible masks during our Mask Making and quilting making workshops. Others demonstrated innovation and entrepreneurial thinking in Dragon's Den, where they confidently pitched their ideas, answered challenging questions and showcased their problem-solving skills.
Across the academy, students also enjoyed board games, developing strategic thinking, communication and collaboration in a fun and engaging environment. Our drama and dance sessions gave pupils the opportunity to express themselves creatively, build confidence and celebrate their unique talents. With so many activities taking place, there truly was something for everyone, making the day both memorable and inclusive.
Throughout every activity, our Four Cs were at the heart of the experience:
- Critical Thinkingwas demonstrated as pupils solved problems, planned strategies and developed creative ideas
- Courageshone through as students stepped outside their comfort zones, tried new activities, performed in front of others and embraced every challenge
- Communitywas evident in the way everyone worked together, encouraged one another and celebrated each other's successes
- Confidencegrew as pupils shared their ideas, showcased their talents and took pride in their achievements.
Every hub demonstrated outstanding effort, teamwork and determination, making the competition a wonderful celebration of our academy values.
Belonging Day was a tremendous success and a great day enjoyed by both pupils and staff. It was wonderful to see everyone working together, celebrating each other's achievements and embracing every opportunity with enthusiasm.
Thank you to all the staff, students and volunteers who made the day possible and helped create such a positive, inclusive and memorable experience. We are incredibly proud of everyone for demonstrating what it truly means to belong at Haberdashers' Crayford Academy.
