A level & BTEC Results 2020
In these unprecedented times, we are extremely pleased that students who followed either our Academic or Professional study programmes enjoyed success, enabling them to take up places at university or join higher apprenticeship schemes.
At a time of national concern about the disadvantage gap, we are pleased to announce that disadvantaged students at the academy performed better than the national average of all pupils and overall results improved by at least half a grade.
A quarter of students gained A*-B grades this year for the third year in a row and there were particularly strong performances in all sciences as well as a number of other subjects.
Students on our Professional qualifications performed exceptionally well this year with many students achieving the highest grades of Distinction* and Distinction in these subjects. This has enabled these students to take up valuable Higher Apprenticeships when they leave our Academy. Hear from our students here:
Sian Evans, Vice Principal, commented, “We are delighted with our students’ results, they were an exemplary group of students and deserve the opportunities they will now have in their further education or employment.”
Our Head Girl, Ruya Pancar, has been a pupil at Crayford Academy since primary and has excelled at every stage of her academic career including achieving the Schroders Prize for Economics; she once again excelled achieving A*AC and is now going to Warwick University to study Politics & International Studies.
Other students performing exceptionally well include Joy Osagede (A*AD) who is going to London Institute of Banking & Finance, Josh Leach (A*BB) Exeter University to study Natural Sciences, Krishna Upadhyay (ABBB) to study Pharmacy at UCL and our Head Boy, Andrea Solomon-Shittu (BBB) to study Economics with International Finance & Banking at Nottingham Trent University.
